Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medina shoots in for a takedown but Kamlian shows good takedown defense.
Kamlian looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Medina misses with a takedown attempt - Kamlian sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've been hearing reports that Kamlian has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Medina's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kamlian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kamlian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Medina will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Medina is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kamlian thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gustavo Medina seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Medina changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kamlian tries to avoid it but Medina manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kamlian to the ground. Kamlian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Medina jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Medina tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kamlian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gustavo Medina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Medina goes for a double leg but Kamlian avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kamlian continues to drive forward.
Kamlian tries to score a body lock takedown but Medina shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kamlian thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kamlian wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Medina, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kamlian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Medina knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kamlian is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Medina has escaped the position, nice work there.

Kamlian thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Medina prevents Kamlian from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Gustavo Medina will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Crunch! Medina slams his shin into Kamlian's torso.

Medina really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kamlian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Medina manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Medina stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Medina pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Medina shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kamlian sprawls well. Kamlian wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Medina gets slowly back to his feet.
Haytham Kamlian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gustavo Medina is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
