Coffey comes into the arena with Only Time by Enya blaring out of the sound system. John Coffey has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Coffey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tai Wynne!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coffey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wynne sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wynne tries to clinch but Coffey moves out of range.
Wynne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coffey.
Coffey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Coffey changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
John Coffey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wynne moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wynne slips a straight right by Coffey.
Wynne closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coffey ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wynne uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Coffey.
Coffey connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Tai Wynne has been cut.
Wynne tries to clinch but Coffey moves out of range.
Coffey lands with a straight right. Wynne didn't see that one coming.
Wynne darts in looking for a takedown but Coffey gets double underhooks and turns Wynne into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coffey is trying to force a seperation but Wynne has the dominant position.
Wynne wants a takedown.
Coffey wants to break free but Wynne has control.
Wynne is looking for a takedown.
John Coffey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tai Wynne.
Wynne goes for a takedown in the clinch but Coffey prevents it.
Coffey wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wynne is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Coffey is defending well.

Wynne breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wynne misses with a takedown attempt - Coffey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Coffey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wynne momentarily.
Coffey smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jab, jab by Coffey - just one landing.
John Coffey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wynne closes the distance and clinches up with Coffey, looking for a takedown. Wynne pushes Coffey against the cage but Coffey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wynne takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wynne takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Coffey cracks Wynne on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Wynne falls backwards against the cage. Coffey follows up with more strikes that drop Wynne to his knees. Coffey keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Wynne! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Coffey!
