Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parks has chosen Dr Feelgood as his entrance music. Joe Hay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hay has a takedown stuffed. Nice takedown defense from Parks. No joy for Hay on that attempt. Hay fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hay misses with a takedown attempt - Parks sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hay closes the distance and clinches up with Parks, looking for a takedown. Jimbo Parks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Hay misses with a double jab
and Parks counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hay throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hay stops Parks from getting back to his feet.
Hay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hay looks to land a strike but Parks avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Parks wants to stand but Hay is controlling the position. Hay loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parks keeping moving, preventing Hay from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hay stops Parks from standing up. Hay in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hay moves into range and clinches up with Parks. Parks digs a right hand underneath Hay's ribcage. Hay let out a lung full of air as it connected. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Parks. Parks stalling.
