The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clare shoots in and gets a takedown into Chase's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Clare drops back looking for a leg! Chase is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chase manages to kick Clare off! Clare jumps back into Chase's guard.
Clare passes Chase's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Chase really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Clare is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chase doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clare.

Clare has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Chase defend it? Clare steps over the head and cranks it - Chase is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Clare!
