Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Bombo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karlos Vemola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vemola shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vemola pushes Bombo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Bombo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vemola doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vemola manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vemola connects with a nice short shot to Bombo's temple.

Bombo looks like he's trying to stand up.

Vemola seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bombo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ray Bombo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vemola thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bombo's head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Bombo.
Well Bombo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
