Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Mcconnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Martinez's choice of entrance music: Mafia Music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Mcconnell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Martinez! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcconnell throws a leg kick that is checked and Martinez counters with an outside leg kick.
Martinez closes the distance but Mcconnell moves to the side and Mcconnell counters with a series of strikes. Martinez will be more careful next time no doubt. Some wild striking there from Martinez.
Martinez takes the fight into the clinch. Mcconnell wants to get back to striking at distance but Martinez won't allow it.
Martinez lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Ted Mcconnell has been cut. Mcconnell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Martinez prevents it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Mcconnell fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice glancing elbow lands by Martinez. Martinez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mcconnell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martinez is fending him off so far but Mcconnell persists. Nope, Martinez circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ted Mcconnell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martinez checks the leg kick. Mcconnell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martinez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcconnell somewhat. Mcconnell rushes Martinez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Martinez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcconnell tries to land a front kick but Martinez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mcconnell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Martinez - the referee stops the clock and Mcconnell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Martinez. Mcconnell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Mcconnell is breathing heavily. Martinez throws a shot to the body.
Martinez connects with a looping right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action! Martinez moves into the clinch. Martinez lands a nice elbow. Martinez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Whack! Martinez lands a heavy head kick that drops Mcconnell. The ref tackles Martinez to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mcconnell was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Leo Martinez! An out of breath Leo Martinez thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
