Filipovi comes into the arena with Du Hast- Rammstein blaring out of the sound system. Mirko Filipovi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovi throws a head kick but Miles moves out of range.

Filipovi moves into the clinch successfully.
Knees to the body from Filipovi.
Filipovi is pressed up against the ropes. Miles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Filipovi down to the mat. Filipovi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Filipovi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Miles paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miles is looking to clinch but Filipovi is avoiding it.

Filipovi takes the fight into the clinch.
Miles looking to stall.
Filipovi lands an elbow that stopped Miles in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Master Miles has been cut.
Filipovi gets underhooks to prevent Miles's takedown attempt.
Miles looks gassed!

Filipovi pulls Miles into guard.
Miles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Filipovi is keeping the position for now.
Miles trying to stand up but can't free himself from Filipovi's guard.
Filipovi wants to get back to his feet but Miles is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Miles postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Filipovi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miles, into his guard.

Filipovi wants to stand and escape but instead Miles has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Miles sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Filipovi's guard.
Filipovi is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Miles is looking to stall here but Filipovi recovers full guard.
Filipovi wants to sweep but no luck.

Miles drops back looking for a leg! Filipovi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Filipovi manages to kick Miles off! Miles jumps back into Filipovi's guard.

Miles won't allow Filipovi to get back to his feet.
Miles wants to pass the guard but Filipovi is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Miles swats away the attempt to clinch by Filipovi.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Filipovi chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Filipovi takes the fight into the clinch.
Filipovi lands an elbow that stopped Miles in his tracks for a moment.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Master Miles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Filipovi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Filipovi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Filipovi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miles for as long as he can get away with.

and Filipovi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Filipovi lands a nice elbow.
Miles trying to land knees to the body.

Filipovi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick by Filipovi - that's a beauty! Miles is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Filipovi can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
