Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanz Stokenhizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stokenhizer has chosen The Lucky Bullets "Cross the Line" as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Shields! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hanz Stokenhizer! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shields shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stokenhizer sprawls well. Stokenhizer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shields gets slowly back to his feet. We've been told by Shields's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Shields fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stokenhizer manages to avoid it. Shields darts in looking for a takedown but Stokenhizer gets double underhooks and turns Shields into the cage. Shields drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Shields wants to stand but Stokenhizer is controlling the position. Stokenhizer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jason Shields just wasn't active enough. Shields has Stokenhizer up against the cage in a clinch.

Shields is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stokenhizer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Shields. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shields drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stokenhizer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Shields has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stokenhizer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Shields tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stokenhizer lands a shoulder strike. Shields wants a takedown.
Shields is breathing heavily. Stokenhizer throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shields blocks it with crossed arms. Stokenhizer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shields.
Stokenhizer jumps into guard, dragging Shields to the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stokenhizer can do anything to dispel that myth. Shields preventing the sweep. Stokenhizer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Shields. Stokenhizer trying to control the position here. Shields drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stokenhizer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stokenhizer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stokenhizer! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stokenhizer takes a little break here. Shields wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shields tries to escape but Stokenhizer is in control. Stokenhizer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Shields's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Hanz Stokenhizer was stalling too much, according to the referee. Shields misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shields gets a clinch. Shields can't get the takedown.

Shields turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Shields manages to end up in side control. Shields thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stokenhizer stops Shields from passing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Shields dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shields gets tackled into the cage by Stokenhizer. Stokenhizer maintains the clinch. Shields has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stokenhizer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Stokenhizer is defending well against a takedown attempt. Shields has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stokenhizer after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Shields. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stokenhizer stops a takedown attempt from Shields.

Shields has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stokenhizer after a bit of a struggle. A quick uppercut on the inside from Stokenhizer. Stokenhizer landing knees to the head.

Shields is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stokenhizer pulls him back up using the underhooks. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stokenhizer lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Shields changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stokenhizer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stokenhizer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A punch combination from Stokenhizer misses. Stokenhizer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stokenhizer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stokenhizer takes the fight into the clinch. Stokenhizer lands a big knee! That's hurt Shields! Oh, he's all over the place! Stokenhizer lands another knee that sends Shields to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hanz Stokenhizer! The defeated Jason Shields had this to say: 'I gotta go back and train hard and wait for my next fight offer'.
