Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Darzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herbert Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abdullah Darzi!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Herbert Hernandez has been cut.
Hernandez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Darzi jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hernandez dips to his left and cracks Darzi with an uppercut!
Darzi scores with a sloppy right hand. Hernandez should have avoided that one.
Darzi lands a slapping body shot.
Darzi swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hernandez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Abdullah Darzi has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Darzi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hernandez.

Hernandez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hernandez is looking to advance position but Darzi won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hernandez is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Hernandez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Darzi keeps working.
Darzi is trying is best to control the position here.

Hernandez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darzi is just riding it out for now. Hernandez eventually gives up the hold.

Hernandez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Darzi looks like he's trying to stand up.

Darzi has a hand on Hernandez's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hernandez takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Darzi tries to lock up and control but Hernandez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hernandez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Darzi is looking to escape.
Darzi is trying desperately to improve position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Herbert Hernandez will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Darzi fails to land with a series of punches.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Darzi as he avoids it easily.
Darzi throws a right and a left that Hernandez avoids nicely.
Darzi lands a nice shot to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Darzi. Those never looked like landing.
Darzi keeps the fight on the outside.
Darzi stuffs the takedown attempt from Hernandez. Hernandez gets slowly back to his feet.
Hernandez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Darzi tests Hernandez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Darzi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Darzi throws a series of punches but Hernandez avoids them all with ease.
Hernandez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Darzi is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Darzi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hernandez circles away quickly and effectively.
Hernandez on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Hernandez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Darzi's guard.

Darzi is breathing heavily.
Hernandez moves nicely into side control.

You can see the frustration on Darzi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Darzi is looking to reverse the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hernandez tries for a kimura but Darzi is defending well.
Hernandez wants to stand but Darzi is controlling his arm.
Hernandez slows the pace down.
Darzi is looking to reverse the position.
Darzi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hernandez wants to control but Darzi is keeping him busy.
Darzi parries the strikes from Hernandez easily there. Hernandez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Darzi to escape.

Darzi tries to improve his position but instead Hernandez has taken his back!

Hernandez thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Darzi is trying to break free.
Hernandez misses with a punch to the head.
Darzi tries to break free.
Darzi is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Hernandez has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Darzi is in real trouble here. Hernandez gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Darzi is tapping out! Hernandez wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Herbert Hernandez!
