Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilburn Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Morn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wilburn Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lance Morn!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hogan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but Morn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hogan to get the leverage.
Morn is looking for a sweep. Hogan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Morn is looking to control Hogan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morn avoid being mounted?
Hogan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hogan is stalling here. Morn is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hogan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Morn has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morn advances nicely into full mount.
Morn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hogan is working to get back to half guard.

Hogan tries to hold on but Morn postures up.
Morn tries to control but Hogan wriggling away.
Hogan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Morn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hogan is on top in guard.
Hogan wants to stand but Morn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hogan slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Morn.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morn is looking to get back to full guard here but Hogan has managed to pass to side control instead.
Morn tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Morn throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Hogan rushes Morn and presses him up against the cage.
Morn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Hogan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hogan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Morn throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hogan uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hogan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morn has escaped the position, nice work there.
Morn is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hogan trying to control the position but Morn is working away.

Hogan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Morn!
Morn is looking to get to half guard.
Morn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Morn has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Morn looks winded!
You can see the frustration on Morn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilburn Hogan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Hogan darts in and clinches Morn up against the cage.

The crowd cheers as Morn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hogan doesn't seem phased though.

Wilburn Hogan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Morn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hogan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Hogan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hogan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wilburn Hogan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hogan is pressing down on Morn's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morn is holding on for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morn can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hogan lands a nice short elbow.
Morn is trying to get back to full guard.
Hogan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morn keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Morn sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hogan working Morn over with strikes.
Morn wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Hogan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hogan works his way into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hogan wants to stand but Morn has his arm trapped.
Morn gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilburn Hogan dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Morn misses with the combination.

Hogan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morn on his heels. He'll look to pass Morn's guard now, I'm sure.

BOOM! Hogan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Morn is squirming around, avoiding Hogan's attempts to control the action.

Morn can't escape the position.
Hogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Morn is looking to escape.
Hogan wants to get back to his feet but Morn is holding on tight.
Morn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hogan landing punches.

Hogan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Morn looks a forlorn figure.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wilburn Hogan wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Hogan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hogan is looking to work some ground and pound but Morn has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hogan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lance Morn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wilburn Hogan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Wilburn Hogan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hogan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
