Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Anderson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glass closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Anderson prevents Glass from moving into mount.
Glass working away.
Anderson is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glass throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Anderson is looking to reverse the position.

Glass looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Glass working the ground and pound but Anderson is defending the strikes.
Anderson is trying to work for a sweep but Glass has mounted him!
Glass working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Glass with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Poor strikes thrown by Glass there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Anderson is trying desperately to improve position.

Glass working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Glass has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Glass throwing strikes here but Anderson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Glass postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Anderson looks a forlorn figure.

Glass looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Anderson trying desperately to get to his feet.

Anderson is working to get back to half guard.
Anderson tries to hold on but Glass postures up.
Glass punching from mount but Anderson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Glass thowing shots but they're missing.

Glass has hold of Anderson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Anderson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Anderson throwing hammer fists to the chest of Glass. What's that going to do exactly?
Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Glass lands with some strikes.

Glass throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Anderson tries to lock up and control but Glass gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Anderson looks gassed!

Anderson is looking to improve his position but Glass isn't that keen on the idea.

Glass is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Anderson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Glass can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape.
Anderson gets back to half guard.
Glass is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer.

Anderson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Anderson tries to get to full guard but Glass has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Glass fails in his attempt to clinch.
Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Glass counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that.
Glass might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Glass passes Anderson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Anderson is not content to let Glass control the position.
Anderson tries to roll over but Glass keeps him under control.
Anderson is breathing heavily.

Glass is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Anderson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Glass wants to pass to mount but Anderson is defending the position.

Anderson is defending against the submission attempts here by Glass.
Steven Glass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Glass looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Glass escapes and gets back to his feet.
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt

and Glass counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Anderson's guard now.
Glass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Glass is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Glass throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Glass slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Anderson striking off his back but it's not causing Glass any problems.
Glass throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Glass trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Glass looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Glass shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Glass controlling the pace for now.
Anderson tries to hold on but Glass pushes him away.

Anderson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Glass putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Anderson tries to lock up and control but Glass gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Glass throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Glass looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Anderson is working to get back to half guard.
Glass controlling the pace for now.

Glass is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Anderson is forced to tap! Great finish!
