Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emeka Shakur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brick Tires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shakur might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tatanka - Africa. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakur uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tires has time to react.
Tires catches Shakur with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Emeka Shakur has been cut.
A jab lands there for Shakur.
Tires tries to clinch there but Shakur circles away.
Tires throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shakur sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tires blocks a leg kick.
Tires takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tires swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tires darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Tires fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shakur looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shakur misses with a body kick.
Tires doesn't manage to clinch there - Shakur circles away.
Tires stuns Shakur with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Shakur digs a good hook to Tires's body.
Shakur getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Brick Tires seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shakur throws a looping overhand right but Tires ducks down to avoid it.

Tires will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tires throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shakur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That kick from Tires tenderised Shakur's leg. Shakur is trying to keep his angry face on.
Shakur has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tires.

Tires pushes Shakur up against the cage in a clinch.
Shakur blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tires throws a head punch that misses.

Tires pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Donk. Tires catches Shakur right on the button with a cross.

Emeka Shakur's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Tires misses the jab.
Tires has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Shakur throws a sloppy head kick and Tires moves out of range easily.

Tires thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shakur if he has to take too many more of those.
Shakur misses with a wild body shot.
Tires fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shakur has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shakur crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tires - the referee stops the clock and Shakur gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tires. Shakur manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Tires takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Tires lands a nice hook to Shakur's body. Shakur takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shakur sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Jeez, Emeka Shakur's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tires dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shakur. That did some damage!

Oh Shakur is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tires lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Shakur head around and knocks him out cold! Tires hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
