Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mos Def (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephane Ouelet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Def comes to the cage accompanied by Mathematics. Ouelet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Chien Fou . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Def uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ouelet.
A swing and a miss from Ouelet.
Def looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ouelet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Def checks a leg kick.
Def throws a front kick aimed at Ouelet's knee but Ouelet avoids it well.

and Ouelet counters with a shoot takedown. Def fights it but they end up in guard.

Def has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ouelet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
