Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downs slips a jab and a cross from Everette.
Downs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Everette throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Everette lands with a nice combination. Downs backs away looking to recover.
The crowd cheers as Everette lands an impressive looking overhand right. Downs doesn't seem phased though.
Downs walks into a straight right hand from Everette.
Everette throws a right and a left that Downs avoids nicely.
Everette misses with a wild body shot.
Everette scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Downs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Everette rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Downs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Everette fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Everette misses with a series of wild punches.
Everette shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Downs eats them both and turns towards Everette to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Downs is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Everette.
Everette tries to bum rush Downs with a series of wild strikes but Downs uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Downs does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Everette fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Downs looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Everette uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Downs in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
