Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thuam Chaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Espiridion Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaka kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heart of a Champion. Thuam Chaka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thuam Chaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Espiridion Araya! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Araya ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Chaka goes for a double leg but Araya avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Araya continues to drive forward. Araya turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Chaka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Chaka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Araya wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Chaka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Araya has just dragged him back down to the mat. Araya stands up. Chaka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Araya sprawls well. Araya wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chaka gets slowly back to his feet. Chaka gets the takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chaka tries for a kimura but Araya is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chaka is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Araya has escaped the position, nice work there. Araya wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Chaka is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Araya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Chaka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chaka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chaka tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Chaka goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Araya has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Chaka but great work by Araya. Chaka tries to improve position but can't. Araya stands up. Chaka misses with a takedown attempt and Araya counters with a nice kick to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thuam Chaka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Araya throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Thuam Chaka has been cut. Chaka fails with the takedown and Araya counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chaka thinking. Chaka is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Araya counters with a big head kick but Chaka shrugs it off. Araya lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. The fighters circle, before Araya throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Chaka's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Araya lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Espiridion Araya! An out of breath Espiridion Araya thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
