Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Lion.
Farenden tries for a takedown but Lion circles away easily
and Lion counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lion goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Farenden tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lion lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Farenden backwards.
Lion lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Farenden is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lion pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Leonardo Lion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Farenden.
Lion works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Lion lands with a left to the head.

Farenden drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lion is pressed up against the cage. Farenden has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lion down to the mat. Lion avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Farenden dives in and grabs Lion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lion pushes down on Farenden's head and hops out.
Lion moves into range and clinches up with Farenden.
Lion lands a body shot.
Farenden gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Farenden looks winded!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Farenden trying to control but Lion is working from the bottom.
My spies in Complete Fighter Fitness inform me that Farenden has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jake Farenden wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lion pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lion wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lion darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Lion digs a right hand underneath Farenden's ribcage. Farenden let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Farenden tries for a takedown but Lion manages to get underhooks.
Farenden jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lion walks away with a smile on his face. Farenden gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Farenden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lion's waist but Lion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Farenden off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Farenden has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lion.
Lion connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Farenden's hands.
Lion rushes Farenden and presses him up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Lion.
Farenden is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A short uppercut from Lion.
Lion lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Farenden is rocked!
Nice body punch from Lion.
Lion lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Farenden is still on wobbly legs! Can Lion finish him?
Lion lands a left hand.
Farenden is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lion digs a right hand underneath Farenden's ribcage. Farenden let out a lung full of air as it connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lion lands a nice knee to the body.
Lion has Farenden pushed against the cage.
Lion lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Farenden is pressed against the cage. Lion pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Farenden! Two more big strikes from Lion and Farenden crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
