Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrius Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Floyd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Make it bun dem- Skrillex ft. Damian Marley kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demetrius Floyd! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Floyd gets caught flat footed, as Anderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Anderson stops Floyd from standing up. Anderson wants to control from the top but Floyd keeps moving. Anderson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Anderson with a nice head shot there. Anderson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson won't allow Floyd to get back to his feet. Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anderson throws a strike but Floyd rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anderson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Floyd is controlling him. Anderson is controlling Floyd's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Floyd looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anderson throwing strikes but missing. Floyd wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Anderson throwing strikes but missing. Anderson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Floyd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Floyd is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Floyd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anderson pushes down on Floyd's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control but Floyd is keeping him busy. Anderson stops Floyd from getting back to his feet.
Anderson working Floyd over with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anderson winds up and cracks Floyd with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Anderson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Anderson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Floyd defending well though. Anderson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've been hearing that Anderson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Floyd is trying to stand back up but Anderson is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Anderson lands with a punch from half guard. Anderson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Floyd taking shots to the head.
Floyd is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson won't let Floyd get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Floyd is still in real trouble! Can Anderson finish him? Anderson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Floyd wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Anderson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Anderson!
