Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cassius Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rutger Snabel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger Snabel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cassius Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rutger Snabel! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snabel shoots for a takedown but Hunter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Snabel slips under a jab from Hunter. Snabel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunter. Cassius Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snabel's waist but Snabel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunter off to one side. Hunter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snabel. Hunter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Snabel is fending him off so far but Hunter persists. Nope, Snabel circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cassius Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Snabel fails in his attempt to clinch. Snabel misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hunter ducks under a wild hook from Snabel. Hunter thows a body shot but no joy. Hunter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Snabel.

Hunter misses with a takedown attempt - Snabel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Snabel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snabel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Snabel defends it nicely. Snabel throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hunter. Snabel tests Hunter's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hunter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Snabel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Snabel. Snabel looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunter is just out of range. Snabel lunges at Hunter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hunter's hand. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hunter is defended easily by Snabel. Hunter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Snabel defends well and Hunter ends up having to push Snabel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter has Snabel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Snabel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Snabel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hunter fails to land the takedown. Hunter slips under a jab from Snabel. Snabel has taken the fight to the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Snabel. Snabel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snabel misses with a straight right. Nice takedown defense from Snabel. No joy for Hunter on that attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A leg kick checked by Hunter. Snabel tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snabel wants to clinch. Snabel tries to clinch but Hunter moves out of range. Hunter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snabel swivels and escapes. Hunter checks a leg kick. Snabel has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Snabel dives in for a single leg takedown but Hunter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hunter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Snabel walks away with a smile on his face. Hunter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Snabel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Snabel lands with an overhand left. Hunter fails with a takedown attempt. Snabel tests Hunter's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hunter shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Hunter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hunter checks a leg kick. Hunter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Snabel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Snabel ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Snabel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hunter shoots for a takedown but Snabel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hunter shoots in for a takedown but Snabel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Snabel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hunter! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Snabel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rutger Snabel dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hunter gets a double leg takedown into Snabel's guard. Snabel keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully. Hunter sitting in guard, not really doing much. Snabel is trying to keep Hunter in close.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hunter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Snabel's guard. We've been hearing that Hunter has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Snabel is defending against the submission attempts here by Hunter.
Hunter wants to take a breather but Snabel is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter is pressing down on Snabel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Snabel is holding on for now. Snabel looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hunter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hunter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hunter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Snabel could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hunter has cracked it and Snabel is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hunter!
