Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Box Spar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Davis! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Davis throws a series of punches but Spar avoids them all with ease. Davis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Spar clinches up with Davis and pushes him back against the cage. Spar tries to stall but Davis uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A shot in the inside from Spar. Davis is trying to break the clinch but Spar is controlling him. Davis's coach down at Hand 2 Hand Combat $50 !!! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Davis's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Davis is trying to break free. Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Spar won't allow it.
Spar lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Spar makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Spar is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Davis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spar's efforts to push away. Spar misses with a punch to the body.
Davis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Spar stalling the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis wants to break free but Spar has control.
Davis is trying to break the clinch but Spar has him pressed against the cage. Spar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Daviss head. Spar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Spar works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Davis misses with a hook to the ribs.

Davis looks winded! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Spar. Spar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davis misses with a looping right. Davis blocks a head kick by Spar.

It looks like Phil Davis has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Spar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Davis's hands. Davis has managed to clinch.
Spar misses with a body punch.
Davis tries to circle away but Spar has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Davis tries to break free but Spar pushes him back against the cage. Spar breaks from the clinch.
Spar has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Hopkins in the buildup to the fight. Davis slips under a jab from Spar. Spar sends Davis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Spar is motioning to the referee to let Davis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Davis is rocked! Spar is looking to clinch but Davis is avoiding it.
Davis is still on wobbly legs! Can Spar finish him? Davis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Spar. Davis is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Spar doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Davis crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Davis's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Box Spar! A relieved looking Box Spar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
