Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Murry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kk Brewer! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brewer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Murry tries for a takedown but Brewer circles away easily enabling Brewer to counter with a crisp jab. Murry takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murry looks for a takedown but Brewer sprawls well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murry is defended easily by Brewer. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Murry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brewer stuns Murry with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Murry scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Murry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brewer is trying to control Murry's posture but Murry avoids it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Murry tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Brewer regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brewer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Murry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brewer sees it coming and defends easily. Brewer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murry's back! Murry can't escape the position.
Murry is working hard here to advance position. Brewer working for a choke but Murry is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brewer tightening his grip on Murry, looking for the choke. Brewer is hanging on to Murry's back as he tries to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brewer looking for the RNC. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brewer is looking for the choke from the back position but Murry is controlling his hands well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murry is trying to break free.
Even with his hooks in, Brewer manages to miss with strikes from the back. Murry is really stuck here.
Murry manages to reverse the position and now he's in Brewer's guard. Nice work there by Murry.
Murry drops back looking for a leg! Brewer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brewer manages to kick Murry off! Murry jumps back into Brewer's guard. Brewer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Murry pushes down on Brewer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Brewer trying to control here.
Murry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brewer is just riding it out for now. Murry eventually gives up the hold. Murry prevents Brewer from improving his position. Brewer is still trying to improve position. Murry tries to pass to full mount but Brewer defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brewer looking for submissions off his back. Murry tries to pass to full mount but Brewer defends it. Murry is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brewer defends it well. Brewer gets full guard. Murry wants to pass the guard but Brewer is keeping the position. Brewer looking for a guillotine here but Murry defends easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brewer keeping full guard, as Murry tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kk Brewer dominated that round. That's time! Murry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brewer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Murry throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brewer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Murry is in Brewer's guard. Brewer working for a triangle but Murry defends it easily.
Murry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Murry pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brewer is keeping the position for now. Murry postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brewer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Murry, into his guard. Brewer trying to control but Murry is working from the bottom. Brewer is looking to advance position but Murry has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Murry is working for a guillotine from mount but Brewer frees his head quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murry fails to take his opponent's back. Murry goes for an armbar but Brewer turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Brewer. Murry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brewer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brewer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brewer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brewer has managed to get both his arms back between Murry's legs - danger averted. Murry keeping moving, preventing Brewer from controlling successfully. Murry looking for a sweep. Not yet Murry, not yet. Murry has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Brewer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Brewer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Murry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brewer defends well. Brewer trying to control but Murry is working from the bottom. Joe Murry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brewer passes Murry's left leg - he's now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Murry is looking to improve his position.
Brewer drops an elbow to the side of Murry's head. The fighters are battling for position here. Murry manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Murry looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brewer looking to sit in guard and control but Murry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brewer is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Murry rolls with it to try and escape but Brewer cranks on the arm and Murry is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
