Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Long Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Long Yang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Long Yang!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake closes the distance and clinches.
Yang lands an elbow just above Drake 's eye.
Yang is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Drake is defending well for now.
Drake swings wildly with an uppercut but Yang uses good head movement to avoid it.
A head punch on the inside from Drake fails to land.
Drake blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Drake is trying to maintain a safe position but Yang gets an underhook and turns Drake into the cage.
Yang is fighting off a takedown attempt but Drake is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yang to the mat. Yang regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drake looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Drake tries to control but Yang wriggling away.
BOOM! Drake connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Yang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yang felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
