Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arlen Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apuokas Paukstis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arlen Randall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Apuokas Paukstis! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Paukstis. A head kick by Randall misses and Paukstis counters with a flying knee. Nice. Paukstis fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Paukstis. Randall tries for a takedown but Paukstis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Randall as Paukstis shoots in. Arlen Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Apuokas Paukstis. Paukstis tries to clinch up. Randall throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Paukstis dives in and grabs Randall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Randall pushes down on Paukstis's head and hops out. Paukstis blocks a head kick by Randall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paukstis misses with a leg kick and Randall counters by clinching up. Paukstis manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randall closes the distance and pushes Paukstis back into the cage. Paukstis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Randall walks away with a smile on his face. Paukstis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Paukstis throws a quick inside leg kick. Randall darts in and clinches Paukstis up against the cage. Paukstis is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Randall is defending well. Randall slows down the pace here.
Randall wants to take the fight to the mat but Paukstis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Paukstis is trying to drag Randall to the mat but Randall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Paukstis just leaning against Randall, taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randall can't get the takedown.
Randall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Paukstis leaning his opponent against the cage. Randall taking a breather. Paukstis successfully pulls guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Randall controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Randall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paukstis wants to stand up but Randall is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Randall wants to pass the guard but Paukstis is keeping the position. Randall wants to stand but Paukstis has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Paukstis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Paukstis wants to hit a switch here but Randall passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Paukstis there! Paukstis looks winded! Randall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Paukstis is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randall throwing strikes here but Paukstis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Randall controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Randall looking to finish with strikes here!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Apuokas Paukstis will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Paukstis closes the distance and clinches. Paukstis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Paukstis manages to break the clinch.

Randall fails with the takedown. Randall wants to clinch up but Paukstis keeps it at a distance. Arlen Randall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Paukstis misses with a takedown attempt - Randall sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Randall gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paukstis tries to get to full guard but Randall has control of the leg. Randall trying to control the action but Paukstis is working from the bottom. Randall content to control rather than advance. Paukstis is trying to maintain the position but Randall is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Arlen Randall. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Randall. Randall misses with a takedown attempt - Paukstis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arlen Randall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Randall tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Paukstis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Randall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Paukstis defends it nicely. Paukstis circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Paukstis or perhaps it was just good defense by Randall which made him look bad. Randall misses with a jab, cross combination.
Paukstis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Randall on the side of the head. Randall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paukstis sprawls well. Paukstis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Randall gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Randall misses with a double jab
and Paukstis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Paukstis. Paukstis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Apuokas Paukstis seems to be getting the better of the standup. Paukstis is looking to clinch. Randall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randall shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Paukstis throws a head kick that misses. Nice takedown defense from Randall. No joy for Paukstis on that attempt. Paukstis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Randall. Randall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paukstis misses with a few strikes there.

Paukstis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Randall after a bit of a struggle. Paukstis letting Randall take a breather here.

Randall displaying some good clinch control by pressing Paukstis up against the cage. Randall pulls guard. Paukstis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Randall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Paukstis, into his guard. Paukstis working a defensive guard but Randall manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paukstis is trying to get back to half guard. Randall decides to stand back up. Paukstis darts in trying to clinch and Randall counters by moving into the clinch. Paukstis wants a takedown but no success here.
Randall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Randall has closed the distance and engaged Paukstis in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paukstis is trying to force a seperation but Randall has the dominant position. Randall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Paukstis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Paukstis wants a takedown but no success here.
Randall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Randall. No joy for Paukstis on that attempt. Randall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paukstis swivels and escapes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Randall has managed to clinch.
Randall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Paukstis.
Arlen Randall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Apuokas Paukstis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Randall lands a knee to the body.
