Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akio Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rakishi Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johns is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Just Dance. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rakishi Johns! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johns fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Takahashi, pushing him back against the cage. Takahashi misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Johns.

Takahashi wants a takedown but no success here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johns tries to clinch but Takahashi is having none of it. That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Takahashi is breathing heavily. Johns won't allow Takahashi to sweep him here. Johns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Takahashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Johns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takahashi keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Johns breaks from the clinch.
Johns shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johns seems to be looking for submissions.
Takahashi is not content to let Johns control the position. Takahashi trying to control here.
Johns passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Takahashi! Johns working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rakishi Johns dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Akio Takahashi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi gets caught flat footed, as Johns shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Takahashi throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Johns trying to control but Takahashi is working from the bottom. Johns forces his way into half guard. Johns missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Takahashi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Johns scores with a couple of nice shots. Johns seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Johns takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Takahashi just stands there and leans against the cage. Johns is working for takedown but Takahashi is calmly controlling the position for now. Takahashi breaks the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akio Takahashi. I think Takahashi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
