Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rigoberto Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musu Visus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rigoberto Compton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Musu Visus!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Visus closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Visus lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Visus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Compton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Visus is one step ahead there.
Compton really is a fat lump.
Visus trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom.
Compton is looking to stand up but Visus isn't so interested in that idea.
Visus wants to get up but he can't break Compton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Compton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Visus is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Musu Visus was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Compton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Visus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Compton did well to prevent Visus getting side control.
Compton is trying to get back to full guard.
Visus is looking to stall here but Compton recovers full guard.
Visus throws a big right hand that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Visus passes into half guard.
Compton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Visus stops Compton from getting back to his feet.
Visus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Compton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Visus postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Compton to stand up.
Visus misses with a head kick.

Visus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Compton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Visus wants to stand but Compton is controlling his arm.

Compton is looking for a sweep.
Visus tries to move to mount but Compton blocks the move with his legs.
Compton pushes Visus away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Visus gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Visus is trying to ground and pound but Compton uses the momentary lack of control by Visus to regain half guard.
Compton is pressing down on Visus's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Compton wants to sweep but no luck.
Compton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Visus controls the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Compton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Visus gets back to full guard.
Compton wanted to stand there but Visus had control of the position.
Compton is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Visus trying to keep a closed guard but Compton is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musu Visus dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Visus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Visus trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Compton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Musu Visus has got the better of the ground game so far.
Compton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Visus trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom.
Visus stands and throws Compton's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Compton is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Visus in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Visus tries to advance to mount but Compton denies him.
Visus is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Compton looking for a sweep but Visus has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Compton can't escape the position.
Compton wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Visus.
Compton is desperately trying to improve his position but Visus has a good base and remains in mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Compton is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Compton avoids a series of strikes thrown by Visus.
Compton is trying to escape the mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Visus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Visus looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Compton is in all sorts of trouble here.
Visus throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Visus misses with some ground and pound and Compton recovers position to half guard.
Visus wants to free his trapped foot but Compton is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musu Visus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Visus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Visus connects with an inside leg kick.
Compton fails to land the takedown.
Compton dives in for a single leg takedown but Visus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Compton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Visus is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Compton to the mat. Compton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Visus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Compton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Compton keeping moving, preventing Visus from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Visus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Compton is keeping the position for now.
Visus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Visus stays in close to Compton's body and controls the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Visus looking to sit in guard and control but Compton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Compton stands and steps away. Visus gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Visus shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Visus throwing shots but Compton is blocking nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Compton wants to improve his position but Visus is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Visus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Visus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Compton keeps working.
Compton is looking to improve his position.
Visus missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Compton is staying active underneath Visus, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Visus wants to pass the guard but Compton is defending well.
Compton is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Visus works his way into full mount!
Visus tries to control but Compton wriggling away.
Visus thowing shots but they're missing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Musu Visus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Visus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
