Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Will Beacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Walian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Will Beacon has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Beacon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Walian! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beacon avoids the body shot from Walian.
Beacon checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Walian looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Beacon is holding on to half guard well. Walian working the head and body with strikes. Beacon is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Stark Slugger Society - NY that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Beacon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walian on the ground. Walian wants to pass the guard but Beacon is defending well. Walian moves into full mount! Beacon won't be happy about that! Walian controlling from mount. Walian sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Walian tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Walian has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Walian can't control as he wanted to and Beacon manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Beacon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Walian is working away from the top position though. Still in half guard, Walian seems content to control. Walian tries to pass to full mount but Beacon defends it. Walian works his foot free and advances to mount. Walian trying to control but Beacon is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walian punishing his opponent with strikes. Walian controlling from mount. Beacon working to try and regain half guard.
Walian swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Beacon is now in Walian's guard. A big mistake from Walian there, giving up the dominant position! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walian has his feet on Beacon's thighs here. He's pushed Beacon off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Beacon screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Walian!
