Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Pitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zamora comes to the cage accompanied by Nirvana - Lake of Fire. Pitt has chosen Pitt Don't Play Dat as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zamora will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Pitt pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Pitt tries to keep at a distance but Zamora has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zamora is looking for a takedown.

Pitt works on Zamora's body with a couple of short punches.

I was talking to Zamora's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Zamora tries to break the clinch but Pitt is controlling the position.
Pitt tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Zamora is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pitt is defending well.
Pitt misses with a punch to the body.

Zamora is looking to chop away at Pitt's legs.

Zamora does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Pitt tries to keep at a distance but Zamora has taken the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for Zamora to work.

Zamora is trying to break the clinch but Pitt has him pressed against the cage.
Pitt is pressed up against the cage. Zamora has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pitt down to the mat. Pitt avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pitt throws a hook to the side of Zamora's head but Zamora sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A looping hook to the body misses from Zamora. Pitt does a little dance to reset his feet.

Zamora clinches up against the cage.
Pitt lands an elbow just above Zamora 's eye.

It looks like Danny Zamora has been cut.

Zamora is rocked!
A nice right hand lands inside from Pitt.
Oh Zamora is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pitt gets underhooks to prevent Zamora's takedown attempt.
Pitt dips a shoulder and cracks Zamora with a mighty uppercut! Zamora falls back against the cage and Pitt unloads with a barrage of strikes! Zamora is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pitt screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
