Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amado Mccray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Doyle! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle gets a double leg takedown into Mccray's guard. Doyle throws an elbow that misses. Mccray uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doyle's guard. Nice move by Mccray! Mccray gets to his feet - Doyle follows without any prompting. Mccray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doyle as he jumps to the side. Mccray avoids the head kick by Doyle.
Doyle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mccray! Mccray tries to bench press Doyle off him but Doyle keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doyle wants to stand but Mccray has his arm trapped. Mccray is trying to control Doyle's posture but Doyle avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mccray pushes Doyle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Doyle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mccray gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle trying to control the action but Mccray is working from the bottom. Mccray has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doyle is working away from the top position though. Doyle throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mccray to regain full guard. Doyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Mccray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sean Doyle wasn't active enough on the ground. Mccray feints and as Doyle raises his hands in defense, Mccray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mccray stands up and waves to Doyle to follow him. Doyle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Both fighters take a look at the clock.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle tries to move to mount but Mccray blocks the move with his legs. Doyle looks winded! Doyle in side control, throwing shots but Mccray defends. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doyle wants to take a breather but Mccray manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Doyle. Mccray is controlling Doyle's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sean Doyle will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Doyle tries to sprawl but Mccray drives through with a takedown into half guard. Mccray stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Doyle to get to his feet. Mccray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Doyle looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mccray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mccray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Doyle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mccray. Mccray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mccray is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Doyle has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccray is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mccray decides to stand up. Doyle lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mccray sprawls well initially but Doyle persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Doyle wants to work for an arm triangle but Mccray is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Doyle trying to pass the guard but Mccray defending well. Mccray wants to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mccray is refusing to be controlled, as Doyle sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle not landing any meaningful shots this time. Doyle is controlling the pace.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sean Doyle wasn't active enough on the ground. Doyle has managed to clinch.

Doyle pushes Mccray up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccray is looking to control Doyle's arms but Doyle gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mccray has his back to the cage. Mccray breaks from the clinch.
Mccray misses with a takedown attempt - Doyle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Doyle feints and as Mccray raises his hands in defense, Doyle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mccray looking to control.
Doyle wants to control from the top but Mccray keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Sean Doyle was stalling too much, according to the referee. Doyle drives through and clinches with Mccray against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Doyle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Mccray drives through with a takedown into Doyle's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Doyle is trying to keep Mccray in close.
Doyle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Doyle manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Doyle manages to break the clinch.
Sean Doyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doyle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mccray manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mccray managing to control the position. Doyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Doyle slaps away a takedown attempt from Mccray, before circling back to the center of the mat. Doyle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mccray has his foot on Doyle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doyle works his way back into a safe position though. Doyle wants to control from the top but Mccray keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sean Doyle wasn't active enough on the ground. Doyle gets caught flat footed, as Mccray shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mccray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doyle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mccray has managed to get both his arms back between Doyle's legs - danger averted. Mccray stands up from Doyle's guard - Mccray perhaps looking for a knockout. This has been an exciting period of action! Mccray is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doyle sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Doyle as Mccray shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amado Mccray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mccray's guard. Mccray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Doyle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Doyle throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Mccray tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Doyle smiles and moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Doyle throws a sloppy head kick and Mccray moves out of range easily. Doyle cracks a nice hook into Mccray's ribs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mccray is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doyle's half guard. Amado Mccray has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sean Doyle is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Doyle trying to control but Mccray postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Amado Mccray. I think Doyle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
