Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raz Liquor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Dabinsky! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dabinsky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Liquor is trying to stand back up but Dabinsky is controlling him
Dabinsky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Liquor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dabinsky. Dabinsky prevents Liquor from standing back up.
Dabinsky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Liquor wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Liquor throws a series of punches but Dabinsky avoids them all with ease. Liquor misses with a wild combination.
Dabinsky takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dabinsky tries to clinch there but Liquor circles away.
Raz Liquor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dabinsky misses with a body punch
and Liquor counters with a straight right hand. Liquor is looking to land body kicks. Liquor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dabinsky stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Liquor looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Dabinsky. Liquor pushes Dabinsky away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dabinsky gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dabinsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liquor, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dabinsky looks gassed! Liquor bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liquor scores with a jab to the body. Dabinsky has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Liquor fails in his attempt to clinch. Liquor clinches. Dabinsky breaks the clinch.
Liquor with a hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Dabinsky with a lazy takedown attempt and Liquor counters with a series of strikes. Dabinsky will be more careful next time no doubt. Dabinsky moves out of range as Liquor throws a body kick.
Dabinsky takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A nice combination there by Liquor.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Liquor tests Dabinsky's chin there with a solid looking shot. Liquor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Dabinsky takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Liquor attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Liquor throws a right and a left that both miss. Liquor wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A lazy left from Liquor finds it's target. Liquor looks to land a combination. Dabinsky sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Liquor moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Liquor scores with a jab to the head.
Liquor is working the combinations to good effect here. Liquor scores with a three punch combo!
Dabinsky is rocked! Liquor lands a hook that stumbles Dabinsky back into the cage. Liquor follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Dabinsky to the canvas! Liquor pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Dabinsky has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Raz Liquor!
