Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiranuka Stakanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stakanu has chosen Oy, To Ne Vecher as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian King!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiranuka Stakanu!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King tries to sprawl but Stakanu drives through with a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
King blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stakanu.
Stakanu missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Stakanu throwing shots but King is blocking nicely.
Stakanu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stakanu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
King avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stakanu.
King won't allow Stakanu to pass to mount.

Stakanu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
King moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stakanu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stakanu throws an elbow that misses. King uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stakanu's guard. Nice move by King!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stakanu has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.
King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stakanu's guard.
Stakanu is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stakanu flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
King tries to stand and escape but Stakanu is controlling the position.
Stakanu tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
King wants to stand up but Stakanu has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Stakanu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Stakanu is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
King is controlling the pace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brian King.
Stakanu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces King back to the cage. Stakanu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Brian King has been cut.
King is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Stakanu keeps the fight on the outside.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stakanu throws a looping overhand right but King ducks down to avoid it.
Stakanu connects with a single shot there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hiranuka Stakanu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stakanu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
