Savage kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Champ is Here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ygor Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage wants to stand up but Cat has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Savage decides to stand and escape the position.
Cat swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Savage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Savage goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Cat counters with a crisp one two that drops Savage! Cat thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Savage to his feet! Savage is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cat drops Savage with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Savage looks back up at him and smiles so Cat waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cat throws a series of punches but Savage avoids them all with ease.
Oh Savage is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Savage takes the fight into the clinch.
Savage seems to have got his legs back now.
Savage is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Cat's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
A frustrated look appears on Savage's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Cat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Savage walks away with a smile on his face. Cat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Savage throws a chopping leg kick but Cat manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Cat misses with a hook. Savage ducked under it nicely.
Cat has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cat drops Savage with a beautiful combination! Savage stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cat is looking for the KO!
