Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bong Ki Duk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Laid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ki Duk comes to the cage accompanied by north korea's national anthem. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bong Ki Duk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Laid! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ki Duk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laid paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ki Duk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laid. Laid tries to keep at a distance but Ki Duk has taken the fight into the clinch. Laid wants a takedown but no success here.
Laid goes for a takedown attempt but Ki Duk pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bong Ki Duk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Laid. Ki Duk moves into the clinch. Ki Duk dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Ki Duk lands a nice uppercut. Ki Duk lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ki Duk misses with a knee to the head. Laid has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ki Duk after a bit of a struggle. Laid prevents a body shot from Ki Duk. A head punch on the inside from Ki Duk fails to land. Ki Duk misses with a hook from the clinch. Ki Duk stops a takedown attempt from Laid.
Laid goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ki Duk prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ki Duk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Laid is proving hard to escape from. Ki Duk trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Ki Duk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ki Duk stopping the sweep attempt from Laid. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ki Duk wants to stand but Laid has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Laid is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ki Duk is looking to stand up but Laid won't let him. Laid is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Laid seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Laid looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ki Duk wants to control from the top but Laid keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ki Duk ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bong Ki Duk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laid blocks a head kick by Ki Duk.
Laid fails with a takedown attempt. Ki Duk goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ki Duk definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ki Duk gets a clinch. Laid successfully pulls guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ki Duk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Laid wants to sweep but no luck. Laid keeping moving, preventing Ki Duk from controlling successfully. Ki Duk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Ki Duk chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ki Duk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Laid stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ki Duk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laid. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ki Duk.
Laid looks winded! Ki Duk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ki Duk rushes Laid and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ki Duk lands an elbow inside that Laid shrugs off. Ki Duk misses with a punch to the body.
Ki Duk tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Laid fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nice body punch from Ki Duk. Ki Duk lands an elbow inside that Laid shrugs off. Ki Duk throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. This has been an exciting period of action! Ki Duk is leaning against Laid and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Ki Duk pushes Laid back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Still in the clinch, Ki Duk scores with a nice short uppercut. Laid takes a shot to the head. Ki Duk lands a body punch. A body shot lands from Ki Duk.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ki Duk lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ki Duk lands a left hand that snaps the head of Laid backwards. Ki Duk softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Ki Duk is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Laid is defending well for now. Ki Duk lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Laid. Ki Duk stalling against the cage.
Ki Duk lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Laid backwards. Ki Duk lands a shoulder strike. Ki Duk lands with a left to the head. A nice left hand lands by Ki Duk.
Ki Duk lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ki Duk misses with a body punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ki Duk lands with a light punch inside. Ki Duk is leaning against Laid and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Ki Duk scores with a nice hook to the head. Ki Duk lands with a short shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bong Ki Duk dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Laid has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ki Duk. Ki Duk cracks the inside of Laid's front leg. Ki Duk connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ki Duk lands a big head kick that sends Laid tumbling to the mat! Ki Duk takes a step backwards and waves Laid back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Laid is rocked!
It looks like Mike Laid has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ki Duk punishes Laid's body with a nice straight punch. Laid is still on wobbly legs! Can Ki Duk finish him? Ki Duk Throws a clean left jab. Ki Duk Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Laid's chin! Laid crumbles to the ground and Ki Duk follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Ki Duk!
