Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Recksun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Recksun has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Recksun coming out on top.


It looks like Marcus Hester has been cut.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Hester will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Recksun enables Hester to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Recksun manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Recksun can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hester controls the pace.

Hester goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Recksun has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hester but great work by Recksun.
