Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phantom Menace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen DMX as his entrance music. Charlie Liddell has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phantom Menace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Liddell! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menace misses with a wild combination.
Menace misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A shot to de liver by Menace. Beautiful body shot. Menace looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Menace throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Menace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Liddell works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Menace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Menace loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Liddell can do anything to dispel that myth. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Menace accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Menace throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Menace postures up in Liddell's guard and throws a big left but Liddell blocks it. Menace in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Menace throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Liddell slips under a jab. Menace shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Menace misses with an uppercut. Liddell staying out of range there. Phantom Menace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell throws a combination that misses and Menace counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Charlie Liddell has been cut. Menace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Menace takes a body punch but keeps moving. Menace is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Menace jabbing away but nothing is landing. Charlie Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Menace misses with a series of wild punches.

Menace throws a lazy right hand but Liddell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A big left from Menace misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Menace uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Liddell throws a nice looking combination but Menace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Liddell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Menace fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phantom Menace dominated that round. The cut man is working on Charlie Liddell's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Menace shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Menace shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddell sprawls well. He's pushed Menace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Menace throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Menace lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Liddell sprawling to the canvas. Menace follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Liddell hang on? Liddell controlling the position well. Liddell trying to hold on to Menace's head to control him but Menace postures up.
Menace not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Liddell is trying to maintain the position but Menace is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Menace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Menace lands a nice short elbow.
Liddell is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Menace lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Liddell! More strikes land and this one is all over! Menace jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phantom Menace!
