Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike DeVries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tyson King has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tyson King seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike DeVries! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeVries shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for DeVries with that takedown attempt. King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DeVries counters by moving into the clinch. King ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. King no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. DeVries passes into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
King is pressing down on DeVries's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. King looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
DeVries sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. DeVries not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. DeVries gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. DeVries keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. King lands with a slapping head kick. DeVries tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeVries tries to clinch there but King circles away.
King wants to clinch up but DeVries keeps it at a distance. DeVries shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed DeVries's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tyson King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike DeVries. DeVries looks winded! King rushes DeVries and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. King is trying to pull guard but DeVries turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A head kick misses from King. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. King moves into range and clinches up with DeVries. King has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics DeVries uses from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King is pulling down on DeVries's head to control his posture. DeVries is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeVries wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. DeVries thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. DeVries gets to his feet. King looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! King misses with a takedown attempt - DeVries sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. DeVries is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeVries shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. DeVries gets slowly back to his feet. DeVries shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one. DeVries shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed DeVries's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. King moves into the clinch successfully.
King pulls DeVries into guard.
King has his foot on DeVries's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DeVries works his way back into a safe position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. DeVries stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard. King wants to stand but DeVries is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tyson King will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

King tries to clinch but DeVries moves out of range. King shoots in looking for a takedown but DeVries manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. King throws a right and a left that DeVries avoids nicely. The fight moves into the clinch position. King tries a knee to the head but DeVries blocks it.
DeVries gets underhooks to prevent King's takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DeVries working hard to break the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. King scores a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeVries is trying to force a seperation but King has the dominant position. DeVries is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but King is defending well. King keeps the fight in the clinch, despite DeVries's efforts to push away. King is trying to pull guard but DeVries has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson King. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee is keeping an eye on King - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
DeVries has King pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. King manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. King lands with a nice combination. DeVries backs away looking to recover. King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says DeVries as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeVries lands an overhand right. DeVries shoots in but no luck this time. Tyson King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. King tries to clinch but DeVries moves away and DeVries counters with a head kick. King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DeVries but DeVries pushes him off and we're back to square one. King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet. King darts in looking for a takedown but DeVries gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage. DeVries jumps guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. DeVries pulls King in to control the position. DeVries is trying to control the position but King postures up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. DeVries controlling from the top position. King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeVries as he jumps to the side. King has closed the distance and engaged DeVries in a clinch.

King trying to control the position from guard on top but DeVries is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. DeVries is keeping the position for now. King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. DeVries takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeVries managing to control the position. DeVries is trying to control the position but King postures up. DeVries looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! King has picked DeVries up and slammed him! DeVries can't keep hold of the triangle and King manages to pass to side control! DeVries is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on King's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. King is looking to take a break and control but DeVries is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. DeVries pushes King off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King shoots in but DeVries avoids the takedown attempt easily. DeVries moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. King uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeVries. King tries to score a power double leg takedown but DeVries sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson King. That's going to take a lot out of him. DeVries slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat. DeVries scores with a body shot.
DeVries fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DeVries but DeVries pushes him off and we're back to square one. DeVries drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by DeVries. King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DeVries on the ground. DeVries wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by King, who protects the arm well. Mike DeVries has got the better of the ground game so far. King is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King is working hard here to advance position. DeVries is working to tighten his grip on King's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. King has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but DeVries is really squeezing tight and eventually King passes out! DeVries breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
