Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alak Aksornpan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romeo Bellanca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Aksornpan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thai National Anthem - "Phleng Chat Thai". Bellanca has chosen Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold as his entrance music. Alak Aksornpan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Romeo Bellanca's chin.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Romeo Bellanca! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aksornpan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bellanca is staying active underneath Aksornpan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bellanca looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bellanca tries to get to full guard but Aksornpan has control of the leg. Bellanca trying to control but Aksornpan postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bellanca looking for submissions off his back. Bellanca looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bellanca moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bellanca manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Aksornpan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

It looks like Alak Aksornpan has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Aksornpan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bellanca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aksornpan keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bellanca has Aksornpan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Aksornpan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Aksornpan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bellanca.
Bellanca keeps control of Aksornpan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bellanca tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bellanca goes for a takedown attempt but Aksornpan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alak Aksornpan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romeo Bellanca. Aksornpan moves in looking to clinch but Bellanca pushes him off. Bellanca is looking to clinch. Aksornpan keeps the fight on the outside. Aksornpan slips under a jab from Bellanca.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aksornpan throws a right hand that Bellanca ducks under and follows up with a left that Bellanca also avoids with ease. Alak Aksornpan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bellanca connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bellanca connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Aksornpan misses with the combination.
Bellanca checks a leg kick nicely. Aksornpan closes the distance and clinches. Bellanca drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aksornpan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Aksornpan tries for a takedown but Bellanca sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Aksornpan throws a series of strikes that have Bellanca backpedaling.

Aksornpan is looking to clinch. Alak Aksornpan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bellanca scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Aksornpan shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bellanca closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Aksornpan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Bellanca works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Aksornpan is looking to reverse the position. Bellanca has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Aksornpan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bellanca yanks on the arm and Aksornpan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bellanca.
