Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dog Catcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlie Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phelps is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dixie. Dog Catcher has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dog Catcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlie Phelps!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps closes the distance and clinches up with Catcher, looking for a takedown. Phelps pushes Catcher against the cage but Catcher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Catcher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Catcher seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Phelps does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Catcher connects with a nice short shot to Phelps's temple.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Carlie Phelps has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Phelps has his foot on Catcher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Catcher works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Catcher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
