Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazunori Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson's entrance music is Kanye West feat Chief Keef, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Big Sean - I Don't Like. A fine choice. Ishii is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Imagine Dragons - Radioactive . Kazunori Ishii has the eye of the tiger tonight.

13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Byron Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kazunori Ishii! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishii swings for the body but Nelson moves out of range.
Ishii waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nelson. Nice sprawl there from Ishii as Nelson shoots in. Ishii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nelson was well out of range. Poor timing from Ishii. Nelson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nelson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ishii keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. Nelson throws a big elbow that misses. Nelson throwing strikes but missing. Nelson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Nelson being controlled here momentarily.

Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Nelson throwing shots but Ishii is blocking nicely. That's three minutes gone in the round. Ishii avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nelson. Nelson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nelson thows a huge punch but Ishii dodges it nicely.
Nelson misses with a head shot. Ishii uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nelson is fighting to break Ishii's control of his arms but Ishii is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Nelson postures up.

Ishii scores with a push kick. We've been told by Nelson's head coaches at Consortium Private LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ishii throws an overhand right that lands on Nelson's shoulder, as Nelson tries to avoid the shot. Ishii jabs at Nelson's body. Ishii lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nelson's sensitive parts. Kazunori Ishii is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick from Nelson lands but Ishii takes it in his stride. Ishii scores with a jab. Nelson avoids the body shot from Ishii.
Nelson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ishii darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ishii throws a sloppy head kick and Nelson moves out of range easily. Ishii throws a wild body kick that Nelson sees coming a mile off. Ishii throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ishii lands with a right hand. Ishii misses the shot to the body. Ishii takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ishii. Ishii obviously looking to wear him down.

Ishii is still trying to improve position. Nelson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Nelson trying to control the action but Ishii is working from the bottom. Nelson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ishii to see if he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishii stops Nelson from passing to mount. Nelson is trying to ground and pound but Ishii uses the momentary lack of control by Nelson to regain half guard. Ishii wants to get back to full guard. Ishii is defending against the submission attempts here by Nelson.

That was a close second round but I would say that Byron Nelson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

and Nelson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ishii! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ishii wants to control but Nelson postures up. Nelson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishii tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nelson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ishii turns into him and now he's in Nelson's guard.

Kazunori Ishii has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Byron Nelson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson is controlling Ishii's posture. Byron Nelson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ishii has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nelson is proving hard to escape from. Nelson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ishii gets off balance looking for a body kick and Nelson counters with a nice double leg into guard. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ishii is trying to keep Nelson in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Byron Nelson. Ishii looks to throw the jab but Nelson is out of range. Kazunori Ishii seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nelson takes a swing at Ishii's ribcage but misses. Ishii throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nelson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nelson is controlling the pace.

And that's the end of the fight! Byron Nelson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nelson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
