Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri CoxX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with Tuesday's Gone blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a series of wild punches.

and CoxX counters with a single leg into guard. James didn't expect that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
CoxX postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
CoxX trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

CoxX got a little sloppy there for a moment and James has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, CoxX has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted.

CoxX throws an elbow that misses. James uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in CoxX's guard. Nice move by James!
James wants to get up but he can't break CoxX's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

CoxX escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

CoxX has his foot on James's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. James works his way back into a safe position though.

CoxX uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.

CoxX closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

CoxX thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

CoxX goes for an armbar but he's not got it… James turns into him and now he's in CoxX's guard.

CoxX working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. James manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Yuri CoxX has got the better of the ground game so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
CoxX lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
CoxX shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. CoxX gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Yuri CoxX.
