Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Scarlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Vallenfyre - Iconoclast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Scarlett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Stroud! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Stroud or perhaps it was just good defense by Scarlett which made him look bad. Scarlett misses with a hook
and Stroud counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Will Scarlett has been cut. Stroud gets in close and instigates a clinch. Our sources have told us that Scarlett has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Scarlett scores with an uppercut up the middle. A nice right hand lands inside from Stroud. A short right from Scarlett on the inside. Stroud can't break the clinch.
Scarlett tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stroud's elbow. Scarlett lands a hook that snaps the head of Stroud backwards. Stroud turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stroud manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Scarlett is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stroud off and has taken his back! You can see the frustration on Stroud's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Scarlett wants to control but Stroud is keeping busy. Stroud has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Will Scarlett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Scarlett keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stroud moves forwards but Scarlett connects with a nice, crisp jab. Scarlett rushes Stroud and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Stroud blocks the elbow strike.

Stroud thows a leg kick but Scarlett checks it and Scarlett counters with a nice uppercut. Scarlett avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stroud tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scarlett was well out of range. Poor timing from Stroud. A looping hook to the body misses from Stroud. Scarlett does a little dance to reset his feet. Stroud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Scarlett circles away quickly and effectively. Scarlett lands a jab to Stroud's midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Scarlett walks into a jab. Stroud shoots for a double leg takedown but Scarlett sprawls well. He's pushed Stroud's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Stroud tries to clinch there but Scarlett circles away.
Stroud tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Scarlett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Scarlett lands with a good body shot. Scarlett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Stroud wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scarlett keeps working. Stroud sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Scarlett defending well though. Stroud not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stroud throws a strike but Scarlett avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Scarlett wants to stand and escape but Stroud is having none of it. Scarlett utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stroud controlling from the top position. Scarlett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stroud is controlling him.

Stroud trying to control but Scarlett is working from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tom Stroud will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Scarlett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Stroud shoots in but Scarlett avoids the takedown attempt easily. Scarlett fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stroud on the side of the head. Stroud moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Stroud shoots for a takedown but Scarlett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Scarlett swats away the attempt to clinch by Stroud. Scarlett lands an overhand right. Stroud shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scarlett but Scarlett pushes him off and we're back to square one. Will Scarlett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Stroud. Stroud throws a jab when Scarlett was well out of range. Stroud connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Stroud misses with a combination
and Scarlett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stroud takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scarlett swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stroud. Stroud drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Scarlett throws a lazy right hand but Stroud sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Stroud thows a left - swing and a miss! Scarlett scores with a one two! Stroud had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Scarlett thows a left - swing and a miss! Scarlett lands a left and a right that send Stroud crashing to the mat, dazed. Scarlett thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Stroud is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scarlett drops Stroud with a straight right hand, right on the button! Scarlett follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
