Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tracy Ball!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carter Cohen!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball rushes Cohen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ball prevents the takedown attempt.
Cohen jumps guard but Ball stands there with Cohen around his waist. Cohen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cohen fails to pull guard.
Tracy Ball has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter Cohen.
Cohen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ball breaks the clinch.
Ball shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cohen pinned against the cage. Cohen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ball fails to land the takedown.
Ball tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cohen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ball somewhat.
Ball stuffs the takedown attempt from Cohen. Cohen gets slowly back to his feet.

Cohen leaves Ball with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cohen moves into the clinch successfully.
Cohen tries to pull guard but Ball forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ball wants a takedown.
Ball decides to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cohen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cohen wants to get up but he can't break Ball's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cohen is looking to work some ground and pound but Ball has wrist control.
Cohen preventing the sweep.
Ball is breathing heavily.
Cohen trying to control but Ball is working from the bottom.

Cohen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ball's head.
Ball is controlling Cohen's posture.
Ball is working an open guard so Cohen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Ball stuffs the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cohen blocks a head kick by Ball.
Ball really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cohen tries to clinch but Ball is having none of it.
Cohen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ball on his heels. He'll look to pass Ball's guard now, I'm sure.
Cohen is pushing down on Ball's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ball is fighting to maintain full guard but Cohen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Still in half guard, Cohen seems content to control.
Cohen decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ball shoots for a double leg takedown but Cohen sprawls well. He's pushed Ball's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cohen tries to clinch there but Ball circles away.
Cohen shoots in looking for a takedown. Ball tries to sprawl out of it but Cohen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ball manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice sprawl there from Ball as Cohen shoots in.
Cohen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cohen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ball is squirming around, avoiding Cohen's attempts to control the action.

Ball is controlling an arm, preventing Cohen from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Cohen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cohen breaks from Ball's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Cohen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cohen moves in looking to clinch but Ball pushes him off.
Cohen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ball but Ball pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cohen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carter Cohen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ball circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Ball. No joy for Cohen on that attempt.
Cohen misses with a head kick.
Cohen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ball circles away.
Ball tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cohen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cohen fails to land the takedown.
Tracy Ball has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter Cohen.
No luck for Ball with that takedown attempt.
Ball darts in looking for a takedown but Cohen gets double underhooks and turns Ball into the cage.
Cohen tries to score a body lock takedown but Ball shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ball is trying to pull guard but Cohen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ball is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cohen can't fight it off and eventually Ball manages to take the fight to the floor. Cohen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cohen looking for a sweep. Not yet Cohen, not yet.
Cohen is looking for a triangle but Ball pushes his legs off easily.
Cohen has a closed guard, preventing Ball from standing up.
Cohen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cohen has his feet on Ball's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Cohen throws a series of strikes that have Ball backpedaling.

Cohen gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Ball's face as Cohen controls the position.
Cohen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Cohen fails with the takedown.
Ball tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cohen dives in for a single leg takedown but Ball sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ball breaks the clinch.
Cohen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ball paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cohen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cohen showed some decent athleticism there.
Ball is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cohen wants to pass the guard but Ball is defending well.

Ball trying to hold on to Cohen's head to control him but Cohen postures up.
Cohen stands up from half guard.
Cohen misses with a low kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cohen.
Cohen looks to clinch
and Ball counters with a three punch combo that has Cohen backing up. Cohen nods at Ball to acknowledge the strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cohen wants to clinch up but Ball keeps it at a distance.
Ball misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cohen dives in and grabs Ball's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ball pushes down on Cohen's head and hops out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carter Cohen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Cohen misses with a leg kick.
Ball changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cohen tries to avoid it but Ball manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cohen to the ground. Cohen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ball tries to clinch there but Cohen circles away.
Ball is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cohen misses with a takedown attempt - Ball sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ball misses with a head kick.
Ball closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cohen circles away.
Ball doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cohen counters with a left and a right that stings Ball.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tracy Ball. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cohen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ball manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cohen throws a wild body kick that Ball sees coming a mile off.
Cohen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ball back to the cage. Cohen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ball is rocked!
A head kick misses from Cohen.
Oh Ball is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cohen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ball, pushing him back against the cage.
Cohen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cohen is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Ball is in big trouble! Cohen is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Ball. Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Carter Cohen!
