The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Sikblood both land. Nice combination.
Somebody is rocked!
It looks like Joe Somebody has been cut. Sikblood fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Oh Somebody is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Somebody closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sikblood circles away. Somebody seems to have got his legs back now. Somebody scores a takedown into full mount! Sikblood is in all sorts of trouble here.
Somebody looking to finish with strikes here!
Sikblood slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Somebody has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Somebody is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sikblood has managed to free his arm - good work. Somebody is breathing heavily. Sikblood tries to kick Somebody off but Somebody keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sikblood is not content to let Somebody control the position. Somebody prevents Sikblood from improving his position. Somebody seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sikblood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Somebody stops Sikblood from getting back to his feet.
Somebody is keen to just control but Sikblood is a slippery customer. Sikblood tries to roll over but Somebody keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Somebody seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Sikblood shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Somebody is backing up but Sikblood catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Somebody covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Sikblood Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Sikblood!
