Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Brock!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock swings away with a body shot that misses

and Jyllendael counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jyllendael keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brock's efforts to push away.
Jyllendael is looking for a takedown.
Jyllendael is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brock is defending well.
Brock is looking to break free of the clinch but Jyllendael has double underhooks.
Brock swings wildly with an uppercut but Jyllendael uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jyllendael fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jyllendael throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Jyllendael tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jyllendael somewhat.
Jyllendael tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jyllendael closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jyllendael jumps guard and drags Brock to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jyllendael wants to stand and escape but Brock is having none of it.
Jyllendael has Brock pulled in close to control his posture.
Brock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brock stops Jyllendael from standing up.

Jake Jyllendael has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jyllendael misses with a takedown attempt - Brock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jyllendael looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Jyllendael fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brock sprawls well initially but Jyllendael persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brock looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jyllendael looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Jyllendael passes to full mount!

Jyllendael looking for a guillotine from mount but Brock is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jyllendael stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Brock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jyllendael momentarily.

Jyllendael rushes Brock and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jyllendael prevents Brock from breaking the clinch.
Brock working hard to break the clinch.
Jyllendael drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brock is looking to break free of the clinch but Jyllendael has double underhooks.
Jyllendael misses with a body punch.
Brock can't break the clinch.
Jyllendael's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Brock has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jyllendael tries to land knees in the clinch but Brock avoids the damage to the body.

Brock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brock scores with a body shot.
Jyllendael looks for the body kick but Brock saw that one coming.
Jyllendael shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brock as he jumps to the side.
Brock connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jyllendael's hands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brock wants it to stay on the feet.
Brock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jyllendael.
Jyllendael is breathing heavily.
Brock darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Brock throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jyllendael.
Jake Jyllendael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brock lands with a shot to the body.
Brock jabs Jyllendael to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jyllendael takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Jyllendael takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jyllendael darts in looking for a takedown but Brock gets double underhooks and turns Jyllendael into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Brock's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Brock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jyllendael moves out of range of the body kick from Brock.
Brock lands with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jyllendael lands with a thumping leg kick.
Brock punishes Jyllendael's body with a nice straight punch.
Brock walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jyllendael checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Brock lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jyllendael will feel that in the morning.
Brock throws a leg kick which misses Jyllendael's front leg but catches the back leg as Jyllendael tries to avoid it.
Brock circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brock fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Brock fails to land with a series of punches.
Jyllendael on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jyllendael avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brock lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jyllendael's sensitive parts.
Brock looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Horrible takedown by Jyllendael or perhaps it was just good defense by Brock which made him look bad.
Brock looks to land a body kick but Jyllendael moved away.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Brock fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jyllendael checks it well.
Brock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brock clobbers Jyllendael with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brock throws a good cross that connects.
Brock is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jyllendael had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jyllendael moves forwards but Brock connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brock lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Brock lands a nice hook to Jyllendael's body. Jyllendael takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brock wants to land a leg kick but Jyllendael is out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jyllendael takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Brock ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eddie Brock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brock has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
