Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tuan Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Korbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korbett has chosen 2pac - Fight Music as his entrance music. Tuan Solis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tuan Solis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Korbett! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Korbett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Korbett tries a head kick but it misses.
Korbett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Korbett closes the distance and clinches. Korbett breaks from the clinch.
Solis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Korbett defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tuan Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Solis dives in for a single leg takedown but Korbett sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Korbett lands an elbow that stopped Solis in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Tuan Solis has been cut. Korbett breaks from the clinch.
Solis moves into the clinch. Solis is trying to break free.
That's one minute gone in the round. Korbett has Solis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Solis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Korbett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Korbett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Solis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Korbett, up you get! Solis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Korbett pinned against the cage. Korbett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Korbett connects with a high kick. Solis swinging wildly here.
Korbett shoots in for a double leg but Solis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Solis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Korbett can pounce on him.
Korbett closes this distance looking for a takedown but Solis circles away. Solis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Korbett tries for a takedown but Solis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solis blocks a jab. Korbett moves in looking to clinch but Solis pushes him off. Solis drives through and clinches with Korbett against the cage.
Korbett has Solis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Solis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Korbett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Solis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Korbett as he jumps to the side. Solis blocks a head kick by Korbett.
Korbett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Solis but Solis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Korbett looks winded! Korbett gets a clinch. Korbett is pressed up against the cage. Solis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Korbett down to the mat. Korbett avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Solis misses with a head kick.
Korbett shoots in for a takedown but Solis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Korbett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Solis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Korbett misses with a left hand and Solis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Solis has managed to clinch.
Korbett breaks the clinch.
Solis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The fight stays on the outside here - Korbett looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Solis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Korbett throws a shot from downtown. Solis moves away and avoids it. Korbett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solis moves away. Korbett tries to clinch up but Solis circles away and keeps his distance. Solis tries to clinch but Korbett is having none of it. Korbett swinging wildly here.
Solis swings away with a leg kick that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Solis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Korbett eats them both and turns towards Solis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. This has been an exciting period of action! Solis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Solis looks for a takedown but Korbett sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Korbett dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tuan Solis's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Korbett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Solis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Korbett somewhat. Korbett gets a clinch. Korbett decides to pull guard. Solis controls from within his opponent's guard. Solis prevents Korbett from getting back to his feet. Korbett is wriggling around but Solis manages to pass to half guard.
Korbett is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Korbett is trying to control but can't.
Solis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Solis is controlling the pace.
Korbett is looking to get back to is feet but Solis passes into side control.
Korbett is breathing heavily. Solis tries to move into full mount but can't pass Korbett's legs. Solis happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Solis stands up and beckons Korbett to his feet. Solis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Korbett tries to clinch but Solis moves away and Solis counters with a single leg into guard. Korbett didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Solis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Solis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Korbett, up you get! A head kick misses from Solis. Solis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Korbett tries to avoid it but Solis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Korbett to the ground. Korbett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Korbett misses with a two punch combination.

Tuan Solis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Korbett misses with a series of wild punches.
Solis fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Korbett closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Solis missing with knees to the body.

Korbett connects with an inside leg kick. Solis closes the distance and pushes Korbett back into the cage. Korbett breaks from the clinch.
Solis tries to clinch up. An inside leg kick from Solis misses. Solis swats away the attempt to clinch by Korbett. Korbett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Korbett shoots in looking for a takedown but Solis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Korbett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Korbett keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Solis tries to clinch but Korbett moves out of range. Korbett takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Solis dodges the punch combination from Korbett.
Korbett shoots in but no luck this time. Solis shoots in for a takedown but Korbett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Solis clinches with his opponent.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Korbett takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Korbett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Solis is trying to break the clinch but Korbett has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solis wants a takedown but no success here.
Solis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Korbett pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tuan Solis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Solis slips a jab and a cross from Korbett.

Korbett throws a series of punches but Solis avoids them all with ease. Korbett misses with a wild combination.

Solis lands with a nice combination. Korbett backs away looking to recover. Solis gets tackled into the cage by Korbett. Korbett maintains the clinch. Korbett has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Solis uses from the top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Solis drops back looking for a leg! Korbett is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Korbett manages to kick Solis off! Solis jumps back into Korbett's guard.

Solis content to stall in guard here. Solis stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Solis misses with a double jab.
Korbett stuffs the takedown. Korbett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Korbett scores with a spinning back kick! Korbett scores with a jab. Korbett dives in and grabs Solis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Solis pushes down on Korbett's head and hops out. Korbett takes the fight into the clinch. Korbett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Korbett bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Korbett avoids the head kick by Solis.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to James Korbett. I think Korbett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
