Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atsusi Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atsusi Sakamoto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clifton Parks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Atsusi Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sakamoto defends it nicely.
Parks circles away from the clinch attempt

and Parks counters by clinching up.

Parks jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Parks managing to control the position.
Sakamoto wanted to stand there but Parks had control of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sakamoto tries to clinch but Parks moves out of range.
Sakamoto misses with a series of wild punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parks is defended easily by Sakamoto.
Sakamoto wants to clinch up but Parks keeps it at a distance.
Sakamoto throws a series of punches but Parks avoids them all with ease.
Sakamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A combination from Sakamoto does no damage.
No joy there for Sakamoto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sakamoto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Parks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sakamoto.

Parks clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Sakamoto's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sakamoto misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sakamoto fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Parks taking a breather.
Parks can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifton Parks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakamoto misses with a hook from the clinch.

Parks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Parks moves into range and clinches up with Sakamoto.
Parks has Sakamoto pressed against the cage, preventing Sakamoto from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Parks is trying to control the position but Sakamoto postures up.

Sakamoto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sakamoto has managed to get both his arms back between Parks's legs - danger averted.
Sakamoto wanted to stand there but Parks had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parks is working an open guard so Sakamoto takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Parks takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Parks shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Parks is trying to control. Sakamoto wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Parks is breathing heavily.
Parks controlling the action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Clifton Parks.

Parks drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Parks makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Parks slips a straight right by Sakamoto.
Sakamoto tries to clinch up but Parks circles away and keeps his distance.
Parks darts in looking for a takedown but Sakamoto gets double underhooks and turns Parks into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sakamoto.
Parks controlling the action here for a moment.
Parks lands an elbow inside that Sakamoto shrugs off.


It looks like Atsusi Sakamoto has been cut.
Sakamoto lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Parks breaks from the clinch.
Sakamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Parks swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sakamoto tries to clinch but Parks is having none of it.
Sakamoto moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Parks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Clifton Parks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Parks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sakamoto sprawls well. Sakamoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parks gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sakamoto stuffs the takedown attempt from Parks. Parks gets slowly back to his feet.

Sakamoto throws a nice looking combination but Parks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Parks drops his hands momentarily and Sakamoto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Parks rushes Sakamoto and presses him up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parks can't get the takedown.
Sakamoto working hard to break the clinch.
Parks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sakamoto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sakamoto tries to circle away but Parks has him pinned against the cage.

Sakamoto has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parks is proving hard to escape from.

We're going to have a standup here because Clifton Parks wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sakamoto misses with the combination.

Sakamoto gets tackled into the cage by Parks. Parks maintains the clinch.
Sakamoto is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sakamoto is trying to force a seperation but Parks has the dominant position.
Sakamoto takes an elbow to the forehead.

Parks breaks from the clinch.
Parks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sakamoto circles away quickly and effectively.
Sakamoto scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sakamoto wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sakamoto bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Parks's head.
Parks takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Atsusi Sakamoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Sakamoto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parks.


Parks is rocked!
Sakamoto plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Parks swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Parks face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Atsusi Sakamoto!
