Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Berry tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Berry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Berry stuffs the takedown. Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jones moves nicely into side control. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Berry, who protects the arm well. Jones working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Berry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jones lands a nice forearm strike. Jones working away. Jones working the ground and pound. Jones lands an elbow. Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berry throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
You can see the frustration on Berry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Berry keeps working. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones looks gassed! Jones working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Berry rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Berry!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Berry swivels and escapes. Mark Berry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waylon Jones. Berry scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Berry's waist but Berry gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Berry scores with a body shot.

Berry comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Berry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jones shoots in but Berry avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones shoots in but Berry avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Berry as he avoids it easily. Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Berry shows good takedown defense. Left hook, right uppercut from Berry.
Jones is rocked! Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mark Berry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waylon Jones. Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket. Berry scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Berry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jab by Berry. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Berry shows good takedown defense. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Berry pinned against the cage. Berry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Waylon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Berry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Berry tries to improve position but can't. Check out the look on Jones's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Berry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones working the strikes but Berry uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berry avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Jones is looking for a kimura but Berry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage. Jones is looking to advance position but Berry won't allow it. Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones looks for a takedown but Berry sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Berry fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jones with a lazy takedown attempt and Berry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jones trying to mount his opponent but Berry defends it. Jones works his way into side control. Jones tries to move into full mount but can't pass Berry's legs.

Berry is not content to let Jones control the position. Berry prevents Jones from improving position. Berry tries to escape but Jones is in control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Berry will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Berry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones passes into half guard. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Berry wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Berry circles away. Jones fails to land the takedown. Berry lands with a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Berry pinned against the cage. Berry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mark Berry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Waylon Jones. Berry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Berry shows good takedown defense. Berry thuds a left hand into Jones's body. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there. Jones looks to land a strike but Berry avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berry is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Berry keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones thows a big elbow that misses. Berry is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones won't allow Berry to get back to his feet. Berry working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Berry's waist but Berry gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Jones fails with the takedown. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Berry stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones shoots for a takedown but Berry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Waylon Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Berry works the jab nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Waylon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Berry has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
