Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Need Dump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Need Dump will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Need Dump! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirby gets caught flat footed, as Dump shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kirby could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kirby is looking for a triangle but Dump pushes his legs off easily.
Kirby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dump looking to pass the guard. Dump trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kirby has Dump pulled in close to control his posture. Dump trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Need Dump was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kirby tries to clinch up but Dump circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dump fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dump gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kirby counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kirby fails to pull guard.
Kirby is trying to push Dump away but Dump has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kirby wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dump is working for takedown but Kirby is calmly controlling the position for now. Jim Kirby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Need Dump. Kirby wants the takedown. Dump is fighting it off but Kirby persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dump's guard against the cage. Dump working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kirby doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kirby manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kirby throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirby missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kirby trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dump's guard. Kirby pushes down on Dump's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dump looks winded! Kirby perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kirby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kirby wants to pass to mount but Dump is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby is taking a breather. Dump says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jim Kirby. Dump shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kirby but Kirby pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kirby feints and as Dump raises his hands in defense, Kirby changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kirby trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dump's guard. Kirby slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dump tries to escape back to his feet but Kirby has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Dump's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Dump is tapping! Kirby saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jim Kirby!
