The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milligan tries a head kick but it misses.
Owth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Milligan.

Owth gets tackled into the cage by Milligan. Milligan maintains the clinch.

Owth gets control of Milligan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Owth will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Milligan tries to close the distance and clinch but Owth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Owth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Milligan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Owth has managed to get both his arms back between Milligan's legs - danger averted.

Milligan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Owth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Owth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Milligan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Owth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Owth postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Milligan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Owth!

Owth wants to control his opponent's hands but Milligan gets his hands free.

Milligan is persistently looking for the submission but Owth is defending it well.

Milligan has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Owth is in real trouble here. Milligan gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Owth is tapping out! Milligan wins by rear naked choke!
