Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Toney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toney is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Korn - Twisted Transistor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angel Toney!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toney looks to land a combination but Kane avoids it well.

Toney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Toney's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Let's hope that Toney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Toney wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position.
Toney scoring with some ground and pound.
Toney is stalling in the full guard.
Toney sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kane's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Toney is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Toney is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kane sees it coming and defends easily.
Toney frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Toney jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kane manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Toney working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Toney is staying tight to Kane's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Toney working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Toney lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kane down.
The strikes coming from Toney are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Check out the look on Toney's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Toney is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kane knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Toney grinds an elbow into Kane's temple.

Toney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kane keeps working.

Toney is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kane is trying to escape and Toney transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kane is forced to tap! Nice work there by Toney! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Angel Toney!

After winning the bout, Angel Toney thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
