Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gianpaolo Colomini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gianpaolo Colomini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Hall!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colomini has taken the fight to the clinch.
Colomini manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Hall decides to pull guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Colomini throws a big elbow that misses.

Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Colomini can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hall is trying to hold Colomini in close to prevent damage but Colomini has managed to pass into half guard.
Colomini thows a huge punch but Hall dodges it nicely.

Colomini is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Colomini is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Colomini manages to get himself to full guard.

Hall connects with a couple of short punches.
Hall wants to control from the top but Colomini keeps moving.
Hall tries to stand but Colomini is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Colomini working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Hall counters with a stiff right hand.
Hall looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Colomini is fending him off so far but Hall persists. Nope, Colomini circles away and we're back to standing.

A close round but Kirk Hall will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hall shoots in looking for a takedown but Colomini manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hall's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hall closes the distance and clinches up with Colomini, looking for a takedown. Hall pushes Colomini against the cage but Colomini circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Colomini has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hall uses from the top position.
