Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Blevins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eldon Blevins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Boot! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blevins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Boot to score an easy takedown into full guard. Boot trying to control the position from guard on top but Blevins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boot preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blevins keeping moving, preventing Boot from controlling successfully. Blevins is looking to stand up but Boot isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Boot was stalling too much, according to the referee. Boot with a poor takedown and Blevins counters with a series of strikes. Boot will be more careful next time no doubt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boot misses with a takedown and Blevins counters by moving into the clinch. Blevins has hold of one of Boot's legs. Boot is fighting the takedown attempt but Blevins gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blevins controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Blevins missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Boot trying to control the position.
Boot wants to stand and escape but Blevins is having none of it. Blevins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Eldon Blevins wasn't doing enough on the ground. Boot goes for a double leg but Blevins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Blevins continues to drive forward. Eldon Blevins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Boot. Boot wants to take the fight to the mat but Blevins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Boot is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blevins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Blevins successfully pulls guard.
Boot trying to control but Blevins is working from the bottom. Blevins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Boot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blevins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boot's guard now. Boot looks winded! Blevins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Boot keeping moving, preventing Blevins from controlling successfully. Boot working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Blevins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blevins throws an elbow that misses. Boot uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blevins's guard. Nice move by Boot! Boot trying to control the position from guard on top but Blevins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boot postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nice sprawl there from Blevins as Boot shoots in. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Danga de danga de dang - Blevins scores with a four punch combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eldon Blevins dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Boot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blevins moves away. Blevins closes the distance and clinches. Boot is trying to trip Blevins. He has hold of a leg but Blevins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Boot persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Blevins wants to sweep but no luck. Blevins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Blevins keeping moving, preventing Boot from controlling successfully. Blevins is looking to stand up but Boot isn't so interested in that idea. Boot working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Boot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Boot trying to control the position from guard on top but Blevins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blevins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boot has managed to get both his arms back between Blevins's legs - danger averted. Boot trying to control but Blevins is working from the bottom. Boot prevents Blevins from getting back to his feet.
Jim Boot has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Blevins tries to clinch up. Eldon Blevins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blevins shoots in but no luck this time. Blevins tries to clinch but Boot is having none of it. Blevins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Blevins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boot manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blevins on his heels. He'll look to pass Blevins's guard now, I'm sure. Boot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Blevins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Boot tries to land a front kick but Blevins steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Boot bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Boot blocks a head kick by Blevins.
Blevins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Boot trying to control from the bottom.
Blevins tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blevins is trying to control. Boot wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Eldon Blevins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Eldon Blevins wasn't doing enough on the ground. Blevins has Boot up against the cage in a clinch.
Boot is trying to break the clinch but Blevins has him pressed against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boot wants to get back to striking at distance but Blevins won't allow it.

A close second round but Jim Boot will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Blevins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Blevins is just content to waste time from the top position. Boot takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Blevins trying to control but Boot is working from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Eldon Blevins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Boot doesn't succeed with the takedown and Blevins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Blevins keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Blevins is looking to advance position but Boot won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boot tries to get to full guard but Blevins has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blevins pulls his head out easily. Blevins scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Boot keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. It looks like Blevins is going to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boot is looking for a sweep. Blevins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Blevins trying to pass the guard but Boot defending well. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Boot trying to hold on to Blevins's head to control him but Blevins postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Eldon Blevins just wasn't active enough. Blevins misses with a straight right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Boot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Boot drives through with a takedown into guard. Blevins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boot is one step ahead there. Boot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Boot preventing the sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boot passes into half guard. Boot is trying to control. Blevins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Eldon Blevins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Blevins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
